I have now had Hughes Net for 9 days! Worst internet we have ever had! Takes forever to download and can barely get service half the time! They didn't even bother to tell me, that they would be putting a satellite as big as half the house on my roof, with wires tacked down all the way from roof to a hole they drilled in my bricks of my house! I didn't notice it till the next morning when I was leaving for work! I backed out of carport and on the front side of my roof, was this very large dish , that nobody , not the company when I called them or the technician that came here! I was in the living room the whole time , and when I got up to see how the installation was going , they were down and already gone! My son was playing on computer and I asked him where they were! He said they had been gone about 20 mins ago! The only thing I have seen or signed to this day , which has been 9 days now , was a blank page on a tablet pad! That was about 10 mins after they arrived , they wanted me to sign it! I did ask, this is blank , a page with nothing on it! He said it was for me to sign that they were installing the internet service! I still haven't heard a word from them! I put on credit card , on the phone with the company , when I called to order Hughes Net, which was a terrible mistake , they said that the gut that would be installing it, would go over how I wanted payment plan to be paid each month, because I did not want to put on card every month to pay my bill! The company said "NO" problem, you can tell him to bill u each month by statement or pay on phone! Well the guy that installed it, said he had no idea about any of that! That company would be contacting me within 3 days ! Still nobody has called! Sounds a little fishy to me! That's just one problem with Hughes Net!! The other major problem is that from the beginning it took forever to download anything , keeps going in and out and sometimes can't get nothing ! Very dissatisfied with Hughes net! Terrible from the beginning! We have gave it a chance now for a week, but still no good at all! We had AT&T for 3 years! Was HPD, and really never had a major problem with service! The only problem was they kept going up on there price! I wish I would have never changed my internet service . The price was half of what I was paying with AT&T, but now I would rather pay a higher price and actually have the internet service for my son, who is just very upset he can't even play his game without it going in and out! Never had that problem with AT&T. So the point of my review is to let people beware of Hughes net ! There internet is terrible and very misleading! Not informed of much info at all! I payed my first month already , they wouldn't let you get it, until you gave them a card number and charged for the first month ! I am fixing to call Hughes net, and have my service cancelled! They told me on the phone , when I called to see about getting there service, that I had 30 days to cancel ! They better have at least told me the truth about that ! Said call was being recording! It better have been! I haven't used not half a month, so I feel like they owe me my money back, also at least for half the month , but should refund the whole amount , for not being able to get online half of the 2 weeks we had it! They also need to come get this huge thing off my roof, right on the front corner of my house ! Looks terrible there and it is terrible service! They lied to me about the great signal we would get and really downed AT&T, saying they had the worse service! How wrong they were! I will now be looking for a new internet company ! Wish me luck, fixing to phone them now! Tired of being screwed around with company's ! Actually this makes the second company that has lied and ripped me off! Interface security system was the other company ! Had for 8 years! Price kept steady rising! So people beware of both . Hughes Net, and Interface security system! I would not ever recommend either company ! Took me almost 2 months to get interface straight, by calling every day and being very pushy, until I made call to Attorney Generals office, who finally took care if them! Now have Alarm Protection , and just absolutely love it! Great company!! I would highly recommend them! I have actually stopped at several homes that had interface signs in there yard, and showed them my papers on what they tried to pull over on me, and most all got rid of them! Like I told interface on phone , I will continue to stop at every place I see that had there system for the rest of my life and let them no what a rip off company they are! So beware of them also! Let's hope when I make this call in a min. They don't try and rip me off too! I will do the same thing to them, stop at every place I see with that extra large dish on the front of roof, which is very easily spotted for a half a mile away and let each person , personally how terrible Hughes net is and feel like I was coned by saleman at company and they strange technicians they sent to my house , that didn't even say 2 words to me, and ran off as fast as they could ! Rude, very rude !!!!! Can anyone help me find a good new internet company ??? Very dissatisfied customer!!! Hoping for the best!!
